This event is part of the Wings Flight Club seminar series and Beyond the Instrument Checkride. CFII Erica Gilbert leads a group discussion based seminar to prepare you for real life IFR flying, whether you are IFR curious, instrument rated, or prepping for your instrument practical exam. This week we will discuss weather assessment for flights under instrument flight rules. Instrument pilots must be able to obtain current weather briefings and assess the information to make safe decisions. Flying in instrument meteorological conditions potentially puts us in the position to encounter additional hazards. We will discuss how to use current conditions, legal requirements, and personal minimums to ensure safe outcomes for our flights. Our seminar series are a free benefit for Wings Flight Club members. All non-members are welcome to join.
