Runway safety is a top priority for everyone who flies. Yet, an average of three incursions occur every day. In 2024, the FAA recorded 1758 U.S. runway incursions. Two-thirds of those were pilot errors, and half were by GA pilots. Fred Simonds will identify and show you how to mitigate the high-risk elements during preflight planning, taxi, takeoff, and landing. You ll learn three things that reduce your exposure to an incursion by half and two contributing factors constituting 89 percent of all such factors. The FAA believes exposure and awareness are key to reducing these preventable mishaps. Don t become a statistic!
